Why do I need to register if I am
already a subscriber?
A
The reason for registration is
so you can get the username and password you want, and to protect your
privacy.
Q
What do I need to read the
Magazines?
A
You need Adobe Acrobat™
Reader See the Acrobat Reader Help
section for more information.
Q
What are the advantages of reading the
magazine online?
A
Here is just a short list of
the advantages
Availability - Due to the time factor it takes to print
HolsteinWorld and ship it to you (especially over seas), it takes
extra time after the magazine is finished before you receive your
hardcopy issue. Online editions will be available immediately
after the magazine is finished without the wait for printing and
shipping.
Easy Reference - We archive the current issue, and up to three
previous issues online at any given time. If you saw an article
or advertisement in last month's issue, but already sent it out to be
recycled, you can bring it up online easily.
Portability - You can read HolsteinWorld anywhere there is a
computer with Internet access, just login with your username and
password and you are set, no need to bring your copy with you.
I know I have the right
password, but I still can't login.
A
Remember that your Username
and Password are Case Sensitive. The must be typed exactly as they were
when you first registered. If you have a capital letter at the
beginning, it must be there when you log in, if you have lowercase in the
middle, it must be there when you log in.
Q
I think I forgot my password.
A
When you Registered, you were
sent an E-Mail containing your username and password. It is advisable
to locate that Message. If you cannot locate that message, Go to the
form at the bottom of this page and send a support
request so we can look into it.
Please remember. All
Login information is Case Sensitive, so it has to be typed exactly how it
was when you registered. Also remember that your E-Mail address is not
your username.
If the Ad is Side-by-Side in Holstein
World how do I show it Side- by- Side Online?
A
In Acrobat Reader, there is a
way to make pages show Side-by-Side. If you look in the lower right
hand corner of Acrobat Reader you will see
Click on and
your article will display Side-by-Side
Sometimes the Acrobat Reader
plug-in for Web Browsers malfunctions and simply does not show the file,
or shows the file improperly. The way around this is to right click
on the file, select Save As, and save it on your computer. After
saving the file on your computer you should be able to open it with the
standalone Acrobat Reader. See Below for instructions on how to
disable Web Browser Integration in Acrobat Reader.

A.
In Internet Explorer, a

increasing, the article is downloading.
Q.
"When I try

Q.
When I try
to open Magazine pages, I get the error "No %PDF in this document"
A.
Adobe appears to have made
some fairly recent changes to the PDF file format, which makes some outdated
versions of Adobe Reader so they can't open some PDFs. The quickest
way to solve this is to update your Adobe Reader to the latest version
available at Adobe's Web Site.

I have a slow internet
connection, is there anything you can recommend for quicker browsing of the
Online Magazine?
A
Our experimentation has shown
that the fastest combination of Web Browser and PDF Reader is Opera Web Browser, and the Foxit PDF Reader.
This will not speed up your internet connection, but it will cut down on the
overhead used by your computer, shortening the time between when you click
on the link, and when the article appears.
If your question is not specifically about the Online Edition of the magazine, please choose "Subscription Questions" from the list above, so the question will be routed correctly.
