Pete Waterman of Waterman Farms in Sabattus, ME, called in with results from their November classification. Leading the exciting news for the day was the jump in score of Rodonwa Eddie Sweet Sheri from EX-92 to EX-94. Her breakdowns are 98-Rump, 97-Front End Capacity, 94-Dairy Strength, 92-Mammary and 91-Feet & Legs. Sheri is a 3rd generation EX and comes from 11 generations of VG and EX cows.
Two new Excellents in the herd are Ms Sim-Kno Dundee Roxie in her second lactation and Rodonwa Morty Cherry Janni. Roxie's dam is scored VG-87, next dam is Hanoverhill R Rhonda-TW (EX-94) and then 5 more EX dams back to the Queen of the Breed, Roxy. Morty Cherry Janni is from the Cherry Family of Rodonwa that traces back to Pete's dad's first purchase 60 years ago. There are now 23 Excellents in the Cherry Family.
There are now 10 new Very Goods – 4 of which are 2-year-olds. They were sired by Drake, Lou, Deam and Durham. The Durham is backed by 7 EX dams - her 2nd dam is Elegance!
The Drake and Lou daughters are both from the Cherry Family.And the Dean completes 11 generations VG or EX from the Sweet Family.
Herd totals at Waterman Farms are now 12 EX, 32 VG & 11 GP with an unofficial BAA of 109.2.
