It is with great pride that we welcome you to Siemers Holsteins! We are always excited to show fellow Holstein breeders our cattle and hope that when your travels bring you to Northeastern Wisconsin, you will come for a visit. We are located on beautiful Lake Michigan between Milwaukee and Green Bay.
Currently we are the 5th and 6th generations to farm. Our farm was established in 1890 and registered cattle became a passion in 1905.
In 1971 a slatted floor, free stall barn was built to handle 200 cows. This barn was built by our father and grandfather and proved to be profitable helping the next generation to continue herd size growth. We certainly thank our parents and grandparents for the many opportunities given.
In 1994 a new dairy facility was built 1 ½ miles north of the original farm. At this facility we are presently milking 2691 cows with a herd average of 31,579 3.8F 1198 2.95P 933.
We farm 3800 acres enabling us to grow our own haylage, corn silage, wheat and about ½ of our grain corn. We have 38 dedicated and hardworking staff to help us keep our dairy running smoothly and efficiently.
We grew up doing chores, showing cattle and being very involved in youth dairy activities and wanted to give our children many of the same opportunities. Also we wanted to get back into owning, developing and breeding elite cattle. So last winter the 1970’s frees stall barn was completely remodeled to accommodate our special cattle.
At this small farm our children can be found helping with chores on a regular basis and growing in their responsibilities and knowledge.
This new purebred center can care for up to 20 lactating cows
and about a dozen dry donors. We work passionately on feeding,
developing and marketing these individuals to their every advantage.
This summer a calf/heifer facility was built to house our higher
end young stock.
We hope you enjoy viewing our cattle and welcome your questions and interest.
