• Livestock Judging Team

  • Earn and Learn at our Equine and Livestock Facilities. Students are actively involved in the management and operation of the Equine Standardbred Center and at our Beef, Sheep and Swine Facilities. Work study students are an integral part of the labor force.

  • The Animal Science Program allows students to structure their academic curriculum to their interest. Students can select a minor with their 15 free credits or can choose courses from many different programs.

  • A three-plus-one program that prepares a student for application to veterinary school during their junior year at Del Val.

  • Scholarships up to $13,000 are offered by the college to Animal Science students based on their academic record. Additional financial aid is available based on need.

  • The college has a job placement success of over ninetyfive percent within six months after graduation.

  • Students can choose from several areas in the Animal Science Department as a major:
    - Livestock Science and Management
    - Equine Science and Management
    - Equine Studies
    - Equine Business or Equine Training
  • The college offers a variety of majors and minors: Dairy Science, Animal Science, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Equine Science, Horticulture, Ornamental Horticulture, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, English, Business, Information Technology & Management, Education, Criminal Justice and Written Communications.
  • A Unique Educational Experience - “Theory With Practice” Hands On Classes and Laboratories.
