A compilation of the best from Regancrest and other breed-leading herds from across North America, the consignments on the Regancrest Command Performance V Sale captured and held everyone's attention on Saturday, May 3rd. At the end of the day, 90 lots averaged $16,768.
The newly scored EX-92 94-MS Barbie was the first to circle the ring as Dan Cnossen broke down the exciting and recently fresh Durham daughter of Juror Brina EX-92 GMD. The first 10 lots of the sale were all directly related to Barbie, and 4 others from Barbie's full sisters. All together the impressive group averaged $37,000! Selling for $80,000 was Lot 1 - Regancrest Breya-ET VG-86 2yr. A Shottle daughter of Barbie, Breya sold with 2 Semex contracts and 2 embryo contracts to Japan & Europe. She is now owned by Brad & Todd Groves, MO and Regancrest. Her 8/07 Bolton daughter sold for $34,000 to Gary Housner & Ron Suhr, WI.
But taking the credit of the high selling lot of the sale was Lot 71 - Windsor-Manor Z-Delight-ET for $94,000. A *TV Durham from the Productive Life Queen, Rud Zip 3E-94 GMD DOM, Z-Delight sold with a plethora of contract interest and a contract to Select Sires for her natural Goldwyn calf that is due 6/1. She was consigned by Regancrest and Butz-Hill Holstein (Mark Butz) and is now owned by A.L.H. Genetics, Adolph Langhout, The Netherlands. Z-Delight's 2/08 Baxter heifer sold for $17,500 to Crackholm Holsteins, David Crack, Quebec.
Rounding out the top three was Lot 8 - Courtlane-UR Mac Charm-ET for $67,000. An 11/1/07 Mac daughter of Regancrest S Chassity-ET, Charm was the consignment of Scott Courtney & Uwe Riebensahm, IA. Chassity is a Shottle daughter of Cinderella, Barbie's VG-89 3yr Champion. She recently scored VG-89 @ 2-04 and has exported 30 embryos overseas. Marc Wolf of R-E-W Farm in CT is Charm's new owner.
"When you buy from Regancrest its not the end of the story - its just the beginning!" - John Hager. And with that said, we can all plan on Command Performance VI to be held in 2010, featuring the next generation of high impact cows and sires from Regancrest.
