The Liddleholm Holstein Dispersal, held May 10th in Argyle, NY, wrote a big page in Holstein history as the sale soared to a $7,573 average on 154 full lots and a sale top of $54,500 on Liddleholm-R Shottle. This offering was a 7/07 Picston Shottle from Miss Ridgedale Rhonda-ET (2E-92). Rhonda is a Skychief daughter of Hanover-Hill-R Rhonda-ET (4E-94 GMD-DOM). R Shottle’s dam is a 6tj generation EX from the “Roxy” family. She will stay in the Tri-County Holstein Club area and move to Married Well Holsteins of Valley-Falls, NY. The gavel fell at $45,000 for her 3/31/07 Advent maternal sister, recently off a Junior Championship at the NY Spring Junior Show. She will travel to Farmington, AR, on a winning bid from Bob Spears. Third high was the Comestar Lee, Liddleholm Emerald-ET (EX-92) a 5th generation EX and an 8th generation VG or EX from the Ridgdale Fond Example (3E-95) family. Robert & Joyce Hoffman of Berlin, PA, paid $42,500 to add her to their breeding and merchandising program. The other sale entry to reach the $40,000 or better price was Ridgedale-T Roxy Royale (EX-90). A Shoremar James daughter and a maternal sister to the 1st and 2nd high animal in the sale. She was offered by Liddle and Ridgedale and claimed by David King, Waddington, NY, for $40,000.
