Located in the beautiful rolling hills of southwestern Wisconsin, the Gildale & Company Sale was held on Saturday, May 10th in Hollandale. Mark & Erik Gilbertson, owners of the Gildale Holstein herd, were sale hosts and consigned 50 head to the sale. Three fellow herds consigned approximately 15 head each – Bur-Wall Holsteins (Wallace Behnke family); Kamps-Hollow Holsteins (Richard Kamps family) and Kinyon Holsteins (Marty & Trudy Kinyon). Lot #1 was the high seller on the day. Miss Gildale Roy Tabitha, a gorgeous four-year-old Roy daughter fresh in April and rescored two days before the sale to EX-92 93-MS brought $13,200 from Jason Gruenenfelder of Blanchardville, WI. Close behind at $13,000 was a stylish September ’07 Stormatic granddaughter of Kinyon Linjet Ideal (EX-96 2E) out of an EX-92 2E dam, Kinyon Integrity Indian-ET. The winning bid for Kinyon Stormatic Inez-ET came from Todd Stanek of Our-Favorite Holsteins, Fall Creek, WI. Kamps-Hollow Amen-ET, a VG-85 VG-MS *RC Goldwyn from Kamps-Hollow RR Aurora (EX-92) brought $12,300 from Wallace Behnke, good for 3rd high. Right from the heart of Advent’s family, EX-92 Aurora is the Red-Marker maternal sister to EX-95 Kamps-Hollow Altitude, the dam of Advent. The sale was smoothly managed by Tom Morris, Ltd and 93 head passed through the sale ring for an unofficial average of $3,971.
